Through shared expertise and ongoing dialogue, BISC helps members stay ahead of regulatory changes, improve operational practices, and address emerging risks affecting fleet safety and performance.
As one of ABA’s longest-standing councils, BISC plays a critical role in shaping industry standards and supporting continuous improvement.
Council membership is open to all industry professionals, not limited to ABA members.

A new quarterly call for members focused on industry trends, association updates, and federal policy developments.
The membership of the BISC meets periodically at times and places set by the Executive Committee, generally twice per year (in January and June). Notice of the meeting and a proposed agenda are sent to the members in advance of the meeting. Meetings of the members may be in person or by electronic conference, as necessary.
Currently, BISC has six standing committees.
